"During the Victorian era, the practice of engraving rings and other types of jewelry with the word MIZPAH grew in popularity. The word is Hebrew and means watchtower. A loose definition is May God watch over you, and the jewelry is meant to be given as a token of either love or friendship."
This ring is dated 1884, and constructed of 18K yellow gold - crafted in Chester (as demonstrated by the full set of gorgeous hallmarks inside the band!)
The ring is sizable to an extent without disrupting the hallmarks - currently a size six.
This is a wonderfully well-intact example of a Mizpah ring!
